EACH ONE TEACH ONE · EXPRESSION · PARTICIPATION
Hip-Hop & Urban Culture
For SAILR, hip-hop is a cultural and educational space in which people can contribute their voice, style and abilities with few barriers to entry.
Hip-hop as education
Breaking, graffiti, DJing, producing, rap and other urban forms of expression provide immediate experiences of self-efficacy. A beat, a move or an image makes something visible: I can create, learn and contribute.
